THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE A NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT

The best time to contact me is before you have your baby. I will then add you to my calendar around your expected due date and send newborn session details. Once your baby arrives, please contact me with details so I can book you in. I prefer to do newborn sessions around days 5-16. The first weeks work best to get the curly poses and longer amounts of deep sleep to pose and style. After two weeks of age, they are more likely to be disturbed while sleeping, and can also become colicky, or baby acne can start to flare.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU?

A special blanket, a family  prop, the cute hat Grandma made, name-letters or a special stuffed toy can all be easily incorporated into your baby’s first photographs. I have a variety of props to enhance your baby’s first photography session. Bring plenty of diapers, baby wipes, bottles of breast milk or formula if baby takes bottle, dummy, two blankets, along with any other items you wish to be included in your baby’s photo shoot. Because accidents happen, it is also wise to bring an extra change of clothing for yourself.

CAN OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS COME ALONG TO OBSERVE THE SESSION?

I prefer only the parents to attend the newborn photography session for several reasons. The newborn session is a lengthier session, as extra time is needed to accommodate feeding, changing, and occasionally calming a fussy baby.  Due to limited space only close family so parents and siblings, if you would like to bring for example Grandmother or other relative please discuss it prior session.
